The Mothers' Guild is looking for any middle school directories to use to send information to next year's 8th Graders about the 8th Grade Informational Socials that will be held in late September. If you have a directory from this past 2009-2010 school year that you are willing to share, please drop it off at the Xavier Bookstore anytime this summer. We need directories from any Catholic, private, public or charter school. Thank you. |

NOTICE REGARDING CTODP FINANCIAL AID
URGENT BULLETIN
To: ALL CTODP “ROUND 2” APPLICANTS FOR 2010/11 SCHOOL YEAR From: Paul Mulligan, Executive Director Date: June 25, 2010 Re: ROUND 2 DEADLINE MOVED FORWARD TO 7/28/10; NO APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED AFTER DEADLINE; TAX DOCS REQUIRED w/APPLICATION
Attention Catholic School families/registrants for the 2010/11 School Year: The Catholic Tuition Organization of the Diocese of Phoenix (CTODP), the largest single outside provider of scholarships to students of diocesan Catholic schools, releases this URGENT BULLETIN for all prospective applicants of “Round 2” funding. A recent change signed into law will affect the way CTODP determines its award calculations. As was announced this past week by the Arizona Department of Revenue, which oversees the implementation of the private education tax-credit, Part 1 of the sweeping changes will go into effect on JULY 29, 2010. All tuition organizations will be required to adopt a new state-mandated methodology for determining awards at that time. In order to comply with the law, CTODP will be required to terminate its current application process for the 2010/11 school year effective JULY 28, 2010. NO APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING CAN BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE for this upcoming school year. This new deadline is approximately 2 weeks ahead of the previously-posted Round 2 deadline for applications, and supersedes any other written or stated Round 2 deadlines issued by CTODP or its affiliates. Families seeking tuition assistance from CTODP must submit applications online OR have paper applications submitted postmarked no later than JULY 28, 2010. Any applications received with postmarks after that date will NOT be processed. Be aware of the requirement to submit your tax forms, as well as a check for $18, with your application. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure our program continues to meet the requirements set out by Arizona law. Thank you.
WANT TO HELP?
If you want to help Xavier families with tuition assistance but can’t afford to contribute a donation to the Xavier Scholarship Fund, then the Mothers’ Guild Scrip program is for you!
All proceeds from the scrip/gift cards go directly to the XCP Scholarship Fund.
So, if you purchase a gas card a grocery card a movie card a home improvement card a fast food card a restaurant card a drugstore card (well, you get the idea)
you have just contributed money to the scholarship fund because a percentage of your purchase of scrip/gift cards benefits the fund.
And you didn’t spend any extra money that you were not already going to spend.
Just using a scrip/gift card to purchase your everyday needs will make all the difference in the world to a Xavier student.
